This article analyzes the possible degree of effectiveness of the innovation introduced with the recent reform of the Italian Senate regulation, from a comparative perspective. It will focus on the provisions dedicated to contrasting the high mobility of the members of parliament during the legislature. It will analyze them in comparison with the experience of France, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
