The contribution will attempt to explore these aspects in the Neapolitan context, correlating them with the contemporary culture of Restoration and advances in the technological and experimental field. The contribution also aims to highlight the results, positive or negative, achieved with the use of modern techniques - advocated in the 1964 Venice Charter - in the restoration of monuments that in some cases were not sufficiently tested in the years in question.
