Pine tree is a species with peculiar shape and characteristic of Mediterranean landscape. Often it is present in Tuscan coastal environment (urban and periurban) but it may become an hazardous tree when cultivation conditions are negative. Applying visual tree assessment methodology (VTA), the aim of this study was to focus the main morphological defects of hazardous pine trees and to direct the beginning arborists towards a correct evaluation.
