Between 1965 and 1970, Giovanni Michelucci drafted the Detailed Plan for the creation of the tourist development hub in Marina di Torre del Lago, in the Municipality of Viareggio. The architect gave form and function to a self-sustaining settlement equipped with facilities that could make it inhabited not only during the summer months. This contribution, also in light of new unpublished documents, aims to highlight a project that, although it remained on paper, carries utopian aspirations regarding ways and scenarios of life.
