This paper offers a new edition with a critical apparatus (preceded by an autoptic transcript with description of traces) of PSI 1283, hypothetically attributed by some modern scholars to Philistus' Περὶ Cικελίαc. The recent studies of this papyrus have discussed the text mainly from a historical point of view: this paper re-examines it from a philological and papyrological point of view, giving new and more precise details of the extant fragments, quoting all the textual supplements already proposed and then suggesting where possible further textual interpretations and supplements. The text thus reassessed is followed by a philological commentary and an appendix the aim of which is to give further evidence for the attribution of this PSI to Philistus' work.

Abstract
This paper offers a new edition with a critical apparatus (preceded by an autoptic transcript with description of traces) of PSI 1283, hypothetically attributed by some modern scholars to Philistus' Περὶ Cικελίαc. The recent studies of this papyrus have discussed the text mainly from a historical point of view: this paper re-examines it from a philological and papyrological point of view, giving new and more precise details of the extant fragments, quoting all the textual supplements already proposed and then suggesting where possible further textual interpretations and supplements. The text thus reassessed is followed by a philological commentary and an appendix the aim of which is to give further evidence for the attribution of this PSI to Philistus' work.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
