La dialettica nel linguaggio e la forza retroattiva dell'intuizione. Adorno e la metacritica del linguaggio filosofico

This article aims to investigate the role that the intuitive component of language plays in bringing to light the dialectical tensions that innervate thought and reality. I will start with Adorno’s study Skoteinos, or how to read Hegel. In the first section of the article, I will show how the intuitive component of language acts on the determinations of thought, determining the style of a text. In the second section, I will focus on how the adopted style facili- tates the author’s ability to immerse him- or herself in the details of the situation investigated. In the third, I will demonstrate how important reflection on language is to understand Adorno’s adherence to a materialist approach. In particular, I will identify the tension between the refer- ence to the non-conceptual and that to a discontinuous totality as the element that allows us to preserve the practical-transformative capacity of the dialectic that becomes language.
