Italy is a country with a long dry-stone building tradition. The "dry-stone walls" that demarcate the land, more or less steeply sloping and defining terraces, are an expression of the anthropic modelling of the territories: the importance of these artefacts was recognised by UNESCO in 2018. An important case in Italy is that of the "muretti a secco" of the Monti Pisani in Tuscany, a region that has shown itself to be attentive and sensitive to the protection of the environment and the landscape. This paper aims to highlight the good practices implemented in Italy, focusing on the territory of Pisa, which belongs to a Region that has adopted a Territorial Addressing Plan, which has the status of a Landscape Plan. It appears that the preservation and transmission of this construction technique, integrated into the rural landscape, is possible where there is an overall regulatory framework for the regional environmental resources.

Abstract
It appears that the preservation and transmission of this construction technique, integrated into the rural landscape, is possible where there is an overall regulatory framework for the regional environmental resources.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
