The Demoethnoanthropological Intangible Cultural Heritage is a complex ecosystem, composed of elements that in themselves would not be cultural, but in certain contexts and according to certain structures, they are. After a long process of recognition by legal and extra-legal sciences, they received consecration in the italian Cultural Heritage and Landscape Code. This paper aims to highlight the protection, valorisation and promotion tools in the light of an innovative reading of the relationship between materiality and immateriality of folklore assets, in compliance with the art. 9 of the italian Constitutional Charter and the contributions of international law, in particular the efforts made by UNESCO in this matter. The article also aims to provide practical tools for safeguarding the Intangibile Cultural Heritage through the analysis of the administrative process of recognition, conservation and protection of material assets which reflect the intangible value of the complex national folk heritage.

Abstract
