Urban public green as a legal value paradigm. Reflections on the evolution of a function. This paper deals with the topic of urban public green and aims to study the birth and development of the legal concept of urban green, after providing a reliable definition of it. The final purpose is to highlight the transformation of urban green from a negative urban planning constraint to a positive legal value. Urban green has recently become the subject of specific public policies and it can be said with some serenity that it constitutes a new legal paradigm to which multi-level administrations must adhere.
