Abstract
New ruthenium(II) isocyanide complexes were studied for the transfer hydrogenation of ethyl levulinate into γ-valerolactone, a strategic reaction in the biomass valorisation field. Remarkably, a low catalyst loading, a short reaction time and the energy-saving microwave heating were employed, in the presence of 2-butanol as sustainable solvent and hydrogen donor.File in questo prodotto:
