Firstly, the author discusses the cinematic genre to which the film belongs, along with the associated difficulties and significance. Then, she explores the numerous and previously neglected thematic and stylistic aspects that Fincher has drawn a film of one of the most celebrated directors in film history. Then, she considers the contemporary painter whose works inspired Fincher in the staging of the crimes. Finally, the author discusses the analogies created by Fincher between the director of a movie and a specific character in Seven.
