This contribution aims to discuss the dialectical structure underlying Kafka’s writings, in the wake of the arguments of Walter Benjamin and Theodor Wiesengrund Adorno. The latter's comparison of Kafka and Beckett will be adopted as a thread to pursue this goal. In the first section, we will focus on the dialectic present in Kafka's work between the content of the novels and their form. In the second section, we will explore the dialectical role of his humour. Finally, in the last section, we will interpret the conflict that Kafka sees between life and writing in dialectical terms.

Abstract
This contribution aims to discuss the dialectical structure underlying Kafka’s writings, in the wake of the arguments of Walter Benjamin and Theodor Wiesengrund Adorno. The latter's comparison of Kafka and Beckett will be adopted as a thread to pursue this goal. In the first section, we will focus on the dialectic present in Kafka's work between the content of the novels and their form. In the second section, we will explore the dialectical role of his humour. Finally, in the last section, we will interpret the conflict that Kafka sees between life and writing in dialectical terms.File in questo prodotto:
