Humanistic Italy and 16th-Century Muscovy in Digital Dialogue

The report intends to present the PRIN national project “Humanistic Italy and sixteenth-century Muscovy in dialogue: Digitization and digitalmapping of the work of Maximus the Greek” (MaximHum: https://maximhum.fileli.unipi.it/) on which the proposers are working, Francesca Romoli as PI and Alberto Alberti e Maria Chiara Ferro as associated PI. The aim of the project is that of creating a portal to host the edited works of Maximus the Greek and to show through the texts his role as the primary conduit and mediator of humanistic culture in 16th-century Muscovite. The report illustrates the progress of the project and the actual and potential resources brought by the digital processing of the texts. Each of the participants will describe the results achieved within the research unit he or she heads.
