The paper reviews past and current research on the issue of commercial amphora imports found in Pisa and completes the information with data from recent publications. The re-examination of the evidence, divided into four chronological intervals from the late 7th to the mid-5th century BC, has made it possible to obtain a more detailed cross-section of the imports. The interpretation of the data, divided according to macro-areas of origin, reveals an articulated panorama that outlines a multifaceted situation, with confirming and new elements such as a chronological extension of the attestations, the backdating of arrivals and the updating of production areas.
