This paper presents an analysis of the evidence recovered from the 1993 excavation campaign at the Ex-Area Scheibler site in Pisa. The analysis of the documentation and material culture reveals an Etruscan occupation that can be dated between the late 7th and 6th centuries BC. The occupation is referable to a dwelling structure named Capanna 1. The study identified two main phases for the building that followed one another without interruption. An examination of the structural characteristics and ceramic materials, in comparison with structures of analogous chronology within Pisa, offers insight into the settlement dynamics of the city between the Late Orientalizing and Archaic periods.

Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the evidence recovered from the 1993 excavation campaign at the Ex-Area Scheibler site in Pisa. The analysis of the documentation and material culture reveals an Etruscan occupation that can be dated between the late 7th and 6th centuries BC. The occupation is referable to a dwelling structure named Capanna 1. The study identified two main phases for the building that followed one another without interruption. An examination of the structural characteristics and ceramic materials, in comparison with structures of analogous chronology within Pisa, offers insight into the settlement dynamics of the city between the Late Orientalizing and Archaic periods.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
