This article examines conversational markers in Vladimir Sorokin’s novel The Queue. The study analyzes phonetic, lexical, syntactic, pragmatic, and communicative markers that imitate oral interaction in written text. Particular attention is devoted to discourse particles, phatic intensifiers, and markers of spontaneity, which ensure the coherence of the text and actively involve the reader in its interpretation. The analysis shows that the conversational strategies in the novel go beyond simple stylization and serve a text-forming and meaningforming function. The results obtained are relevant for the analysis of experimental prose and the practice of literary translation.
