This research introduces a lightweight, cost-efficient and adjustable planar passive shielding coil array to reduce magnetic leakage in dynamic wireless charging systems for Electric Vehicles. Passive shielding generates an opposing magnetic field to reduce unwanted leakage magnetic fields in a specific area. By optimizing the shielding coils positioning, capacitance, and resistance, the design aims at obtaining magnetic field shielding while maintaining transfer efficiency. Additionally, the proposed shield allows the usage of a minimal quantity of ferrite and aluminum materials. The simulations results demonstrate that the proposed electromagnetic suppression solution is able to ensure compliance with EV wireless charging safety standards while providing a simple, practical approach.
