In the contemporary urban landscape, the dynamics of food availability, consumption, and sustainability are of paramount importance. The FoodCLIC research project emerges as a response to the pressing challenges faced by Europe's urban areas in ensuring the availability and consumption of healthy, affordable, safe, and sustainably produced food. FoodCLIC particularly focusses on the food environment, as this is the place where people interact with food itself. It is where consumers get access to food and where producers and retailers get access to consumers. This interplay between the two is identified as a key point of intervention to ensure a more healthy, sustainable and accessible offerings of food.

It is where consumers get access to food and where producers and retailers get access to consumers. This interplay between the two is identified as a key point of intervention to ensure a more healthy, sustainable and accessible offerings of food.
