The book reviewed brings together eleven papers presented at the 17th meeting of the Dictionary Society of North America (Indiana University, 2009). Nine of the papers were given within a seminar devoted specifically to learners’ dictionaries, and the cover notes inform us that the seminar ‘coincided with the rising interest in learners’ dictionaries in the United States and presented the first such debate by local and international scholars and practitioners’.
