The term Technoscape was coined by the Indian cultural anthropologist Arjun Appadurai within the framework of his studies of the cultural dimensions of globalization. By ‘technoscape’, Appadurai means the global flow of technology, whether it be high or low, mechanical or informational, which can now move at high speeds through previously impervious boundaries. In contemporary thought, relevant reflections on the consequences of global technology flow can be found in the British sociologist John Urry’s Mobilities (2007) and in The Globalization of Nothing (2007) by Georg Ritzer.

Abstract
The term Technoscape was coined by the Indian cultural anthropologist Arjun Appadurai within the framework of his studies of the cultural dimensions of globalization. By ‘technoscape’, Appadurai means the global flow of technology, whether it be high or low, mechanical or informational, which can now move at high speeds through previously impervious boundaries. In contemporary thought, relevant reflections on the consequences of global technology flow can be found in the British sociologist John Urry’s Mobilities (2007) and in The Globalization of Nothing (2007) by Georg Ritzer.File in questo prodotto:
