The article presents an theoretical model for the analysis of "governance mechanisms" in corruption networks, with a special emphasis on the dynamics of corruption, the frequency and duration of illegal deals, as well as on the amount of resources at stake. Implication for anticorruption policies are examined with the proposal of some potential regulation aimed at introducing distrust among corruption actors.
