An unexpected meeting between the Costa Rican sculptor Jorge Jiménez Deredia and eco-history, a research technique used over the past few decades at the University of Pisa. Eco-history, the history of living, is used to study all civilisations, even those defined as “historyless” but which are actually only officially forgotten. Deredia’s sculptures revive the culture of his country’s natives: the Boruca. He then makes it current as a contemporary offering for global peace-making. These are the aspects that formed the basis for the meeting. La Ruta de la Paz is an eco-historical, architectural and sculptoral project. It involves the intended construction of nine sites in as many American countries from Canada passing through the United States, Mexico, Yucatan, Costa Rica, Columbia, Peru, Chile and finishing in Argentina.

Abstract
It involves the intended construction of nine sites in as many American countries from Canada passing through the United States, Mexico, Yucatan, Costa Rica, Columbia, Peru, Chile and finishing in Argentina.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
