The geological map n. 233 Pontremoli is part of the new Geological Map of Italy, at 1:50,000 scale (CARG Project). The results are described in the explanatory notes, the following main results should be emphasized: lithostratigraphic review and dating of several formations of the tectonic units; mesostructural analysis of mapped tectonic units; identification and mapping of many landslides which were unknown.
