The lovely thing about the sea is seeing it, feeling it, breathing it in and this place, symptomatically named Ark, stirs the adventure of stretching leaning out towards the open sea, defying the winds, the currents and the storms. A steel sculpture, a kind of fin which draws attention to the place: a stainless steel blade which transforms itself in a teak wood bench, that allows stop and conversation in the hot summer nights. The project of internal design lies constantly midway between Pulitzer Finali’s designs for the great liners such as the VIctoria or the Andrea Doria designed by Gio Ponti, and the american streamline concept.it seeks to create the clear and suspended atmosphere of the architectural prototypes in which spatial articulation and the experimentation with new materials signalled the beginning of a new conception of the ship.
