This presentation describes a test, or rather test template, which has been developed at the Language Centre in the University of Pisa in order to handle large numbers of students. I begin by describing the reasons for which, and the circumstances in which, the test was developed. Thereafter, I reconstruct the reasoning which led to the test having the basic format it has, and define more precisely the nature of the test. Finally, I carry out a partial evaluation of the test with reference to a set of externally developed parameters, and then look at ways in which the test could be improved, specifically with the aid of computer technology.

Abstract
This presentation describes a test, or rather test template, which has been developed at the Language Centre in the University of Pisa in order to handle large numbers of students. I begin by describing the reasons for which, and the circumstances in which, the test was developed. Thereafter, I reconstruct the reasoning which led to the test having the basic format it has, and define more precisely the nature of the test. Finally, I carry out a partial evaluation of the test with reference to a set of externally developed parameters, and then look at ways in which the test could be improved, specifically with the aid of computer technology.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
