This chapter explores how Italian firms face the radical innovation process under discontinuous conditions. More specifically, it empirically investigates (1) the “Search” phase of the innovation process - in terms of search profiles and practice usage; and (2) how the organizational context, the search practices and the exploratory outcomes (performance) are related. The analyses, based on the research of the Italian Discontinuous Innovation Lab, are drawn from a survey to 500 medium and high tech Italian firms.

Abstract
This chapter explores how Italian firms face the radical innovation process under discontinuous conditions. More specifically, it empirically investigates (1) the “Search” phase of the innovation process - in terms of search profiles and practice usage; and (2) how the organizational context, the search practices and the exploratory outcomes (performance) are related. The analyses, based on the research of the Italian Discontinuous Innovation Lab, are drawn from a survey to 500 medium and high tech Italian firms.File in questo prodotto:
