Abstract
Eight nonenols [(E)- and (Z)-6-nonen-1-ol, (Z)-4-nonen-1-ol, (E)- and (Z)-3-nonen-1-ol, (E)- and (Z)-2-nonen-1-ol, and 8-nonen-1-ol] and Me (E)-6-nonenoate were prepd. and biol. evaluated; all showed sex attractant activity for the olive fruit fly, Dacus oleae. Thus, EtC≡CCH2CH2OH was reduced by LiAlH4, the (E)-3-hexen-1-ol converted by PBr3 to the bromide, the bromide by Grignard reaction with CH2:CHCH(OEt)2 to (E)-6-nonenal, and this by redn by LiAlH4 to (E)-6-nonen-1-ol.File in questo prodotto:
