Light-induced-drift dynamics has been experimentally studied on sodium vapor confined in pyrex capillary cells presenting a non-negligible adsorption energy at the surface. Under these circumstances the vapor diffusion is sensibly affected. A theoretical model is presented which well describes the experimental results by allowing us to derive the adsorption energy of the Na atoms at the cell surface that is equal to 0.71 +/- 0.02 eV.

Abstract
Light-induced-drift dynamics has been experimentally studied on sodium vapor confined in pyrex capillary cells presenting a non-negligible adsorption energy at the surface. Under these circumstances the vapor diffusion is sensibly affected. A theoretical model is presented which well describes the experimental results by allowing us to derive the adsorption energy of the Na atoms at the cell surface that is equal to 0.71 +/- 0.02 eV.File in questo prodotto:
