Abstract
A review. Processes for conversion of biomass to levulinic acid, key feedstock for org. synthesis are discussed. Acid hydrolysis continuous and batch processes for conversion of cellulosic biomass, i.e., hemicellulose and cellulose to monosaccharides, furfural, and 5-hydroxymethyl2-furaldehyde, then into levulinic acid, are outlined.File in questo prodotto:
