The paper presents a mechanical model of the single-lap joint (SLJ) test, where the adherends are considered as shear-deformable elastic laminated beams, partly connected by an elastic-brittle interface. The problem is described by a set of six coupled differential equations, which has been analytically solved, thus obtaining explicit expressions for the internal forces, interfacial stresses, energy release rate, and mode mixity angle.

Abstract
The paper presents a mechanical model of the single-lap joint (SLJ) test, where the adherends are considered as shear-deformable elastic laminated beams, partly connected by an elastic-brittle interface. The problem is described by a set of six coupled differential equations, which has been analytically solved, thus obtaining explicit expressions for the internal forces, interfacial stresses, energy release rate, and mode mixity angle.File in questo prodotto:
