The oxidation of Ti(è6-1,3,5-C6H3 iPr3)2 with FeCp2[BAr4], Ar ) C6H5, p-C6H4F, 3,5-C6H3(CF3)2, affords good yields of the paramagnetic derivatives of titanium(I), [Ti(è6-1,3,5-C6H3 iPr3)2][BAr4]; these compounds have been characterized by conventional methods, including single-crystal X-ray diffractometry of [Ti(è6-1,3,5-C6H3 iPr3)2][B(p-C6H4F)4].
