The Camogli-Ponte dell'Olio cross section diplays a complete picture of the Northern Apennines structural setting. This section run across the "Bobbio window" where the deeper structural levels of this belt are cropping out. In the western area the Antola and Internal Ligurid Units are present. These units are bounded to the East by Ottone- Levanto Line, which represents a first-order tectonic feature of the Northern Apennines. In correspondance of this line, a change of the geologic and seismic features can be recognized. The central area is characterized by the "Bobbio window" where the External Ligurid Units overlies the Subligurid and Bobbio- Cervarola Units, which represent the most deeper structural units of the Camogli-Ponte dell'Olio cross section. In the eastern area only the External Ligurid Units are recognized until to the Po Plain. The structural setting recognized along the Camogli-Ponte dell'Olio cross section is tentatively correlated with the seismic data. The today structural setting of the Northern Apennines along the studied cross-section is mainly the result of the Miocene eastward migration of the compressive front.

Abstract
The today structural setting of the Northern Apennines along the studied cross-section is mainly the result of the Miocene eastward migration of the compressive front.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
