A total of 240 Mulard were used for the trial. The animals were bred in six different pens inside a poultry house at the density of 10 birds/mq. At 39 days old the ducks were divided into two groups; one half were reared inside, and the other half were transferred to open air pens. The mulards was characterized by lighter weight of the carcass and limited incidence of the skin. The mulard in semi-intensive system gave good results.

Abstract
