We discuss an effective Lagrangian model in which the U(1) chiral symmetry is restored above the SU(L) X SU(L) chiral phase transition (L being the number of light flavours) and the topological susceptibility chi(YM) of the pure Yang-Mills theory drops to zero above the chiral transition. A new order parameter is introduced for the U(1) chiral symmetry and a new ''exotic'' particle becomes relevant at high temperatures.

Abstract
We discuss an effective Lagrangian model in which the U(1) chiral symmetry is restored above the SU(L) X SU(L) chiral phase transition (L being the number of light flavours) and the topological susceptibility chi(YM) of the pure Yang-Mills theory drops to zero above the chiral transition. A new order parameter is introduced for the U(1) chiral symmetry and a new ''exotic'' particle becomes relevant at high temperatures.File in questo prodotto:
