Abstract

A series of new indole compunds that could derive from biological pathways showing a high affinity at the benzodiazepine receptor (BzR) are described. These products were designed to clarify the structural requirements of the Bz binding site and to give some indications about the structure of the still unknown endogenous ligand at the BzR.
