This review describes and evaluates a new monolingual learners’ dictionary, both as regards its macrostructure and its lexical entries. As a result of seven separate analyses, a partial assessment is given of four aspects of the dictionary: comprehensiveness, clarity, usefulness in comprehension tasks, and aid as a productive tool. Finally, I indicate, with respect to similar dictionaries already on the market, what are the dictionary’s innovative features.
