In this paper a study and project of energy-saving and obtaining of Energy Efficiency Titles, according to DM 20/07/2004, applied to lighting appliances and electrical plants in school buildings managed by the Province of Perugia is presented. Specifically, the analysis has concerned the intervention of replacing neon lamps with high efficiency lights, and of correcting the power factor of electrical plants. The work was carried out as part of an energy audit of some school buildings. From the results of that energy audit, project solutions were developed and technical and economics feasibility study was made. That study was then extended to the whole school buildings managed by the Province of Perugia (Italy). The results of that work were validated by the economic feasibility of intervention by an ESCO company.
