(Amaryllidaceae) exist? -.The taxonomic status of the putative narrow endemic Narcissus etruscus Parl. is discussed by the analysis of 266 herbarium specimens (PCA of 10 quantitative morphological characters), bibliographic references and records in the field. N. etruscus cannot be separated from the widespread N. tazetta L. subsp. tazetta, thus we propose to resume for N. etruscus the status of heterotypic synonym.
