Le ragioni del torto. Per una lettura delle Vespe di Aristofane

This is the translator's note to Aristophanes' Wasps, performed this year at the Greek Theatre in Syracuse. In the whole corpus of Aristophanic comedies, Wasps displays the most balanced mixture of political comedy and psychological insight. This deeply affects the translator's task, who has to choose which aspect is more suitably enlivened for the modern audience. Finally, some examples are discussed.
