Rediscovery of the historical stand of Cistus laurifolius L. subsp. laurifolius (Cistaceae) in Masseto (Pontassieve, Firenze). We rediscovered a population of Cistus laurifolius L. subsp. laurifolius in a site no more surveyed since its first record in 1927. The species has a Mediterranean-Caucasian distribution and, in Italy, occurs only in Tuscany. The extent and the demography of the population, besides the flora of the area, are reported. Finally, we present an updated distribution map of this taxon in Tuscany.
