Abstract

Research assessment in non bibliometric sectors often relies on the subjective (expert) classification of journals. The question is whether the journal rating is a reliable predictor of the score received by individual articles in peer review base research assessment. Based on the large scale VQR carried out in Italy the paper shows this is the case.
