Hemangiosarcoma (HSA) is a neoplasm arising from vascular endothelium with a high metastatic rate. The purpose of the study was to determine the prevalence, localization and clinical signs of muscular metastases (MM). diagnosis of HSA, which underwent whole body CT within the time period from 2013 was reached by histology and/or cytology. The CT studies were reviewed by 2 of the authors (MP, MV). Signalment, clinical signs, localisation of the primary lesion and metastasis were retrieved. The chi-square and the Fisher exact tests were applied. The prevalence of MM in dogs with HSA is higher in comparison with previously published studies about MM in human and veterinary literature. The presence of MM signs could be confused with different health condition or metastatic spread to other organ systems. Whole body CT is recommended in dogs with HSA for staging of the oncologic patient.
