Abstract
In this paper an innovative passive clutch based on magnetorheological fluids (MRF) and electrodynamic effects is presented. The excitation system induces eddy currents on some conductive materials, producing an electromagnetic torque. This torque is added to that of the MRF, helping the clutch engagement. The device has been analyzed by means of a FEM code and a set of measurements on a prototype has been performed.File in questo prodotto:
