In the present paper, we assess an appropriate strategy to disseminate technical knowledge in developing countries, based on the sociolinguistic study of local population. We show how the combination of technical competences on low-cost constructions with well-deliberated communicative strategies, developed on the basis of a linguistic study of diastratic variations in the local population, is fundamental to provide a developing community with the technical and cultural knowledge that is necessary to improve its housing and social conditions.

Abstract
In the present paper, we assess an appropriate strategy to disseminate technical knowledge in developing countries, based on the sociolinguistic study of local population. We show how the combination of technical competences on low-cost constructions with well-deliberated communicative strategies, developed on the basis of a linguistic study of diastratic variations in the local population, is fundamental to provide a developing community with the technical and cultural knowledge that is necessary to improve its housing and social conditions.File in questo prodotto:
