In this paper we examine the writings and, more generally, the contribution that the large colony of Russian émigrés in Italy gave to the political and cultural debate developed in Italy in the aftermath of the October Revolution. More concretely, it provides data on Russian literary texts dedicated to the revolutionary theme – works by Gorky, Andreev, Blok, Mayakovsky and others – to whose examination the various writers, publicists and Russian translators, dedicated pages of undoubted impact on the Italian intellectuals and readers. It also offers information about some minor Russian writers – such as Michail Pervukhin, Vladimir Frenkel’, Ossip Félyne, Lina Neanova and others – whose interventions, alongside those of translators such as Rinaldo Küfferle, Eva Kuhn-Amendola, Raissa Naldi and Olkenizkaia, successfully intertwined with opinions of many Italian intellectuals – as Piero Gobetti, Clemente Rebora or Telesio Interlandi – and their different attitude to the Russian literary debate of the time.
