Mating disruption is known to be a reliable and effective tool for the control of Lobesia botrana when applied as part of an area-wide pest management strategy (AWPM). The Cariñena project has involved more than 500 farmers and 92% of the DO Cariñena vine surface (13,200 hectares) in just four years. This was possible thanks to the efforts of the main wineries and farmers, under the coordination of a technical working group. The results achieved are encouraging in terms of the satisfactory pest control obtained and the important reduction in the use of insecticides.

Abstract
Mating disruption is known to be a reliable and effective tool for the control of Lobesia botrana when applied as part of an area-wide pest management strategy (AWPM). The Cariñena project has involved more than 500 farmers and 92% of the DO Cariñena vine surface (13,200 hectares) in just four years. This was possible thanks to the efforts of the main wineries and farmers, under the coordination of a technical working group. The results achieved are encouraging in terms of the satisfactory pest control obtained and the important reduction in the use of insecticides.File in questo prodotto:
