Ermeneutica e teologia nel pensiero di Giovanni Moretto

The paper discusses Moretto’s idea of hermeneutics. The “art of interpretation” can be developed, from his point of view, starting from the perspective of a well determined relationship between philosophy and theology. Moretto’s reconstruction of the history of the hermeneutics, however, includes not only subjectivistic and “romantic” approaches, but above all a broader idea of interpretation, developed by enlightenment philosophers too and connected above all to the principle of Liberalität. In this way Moretto’s concept of “hermeneutics” can be interesting and used again in contemporary philosophical debate
