The paper will discuss some paradoxes that can be recognized not only in modern philosophical thought, but also in contemporary mentality and in its proper way of thinking. Two paradoxes are hier discussed above all: the paradox which characterizes the statements introduced by the expression “in my opinion”; the paradox which characterizes the “I” as principle of thinking (third person) in modern philosophical thought. “My opinion” is not a universal statement, although I can be convinced of it. And “I” as the subject of a statement cannot be expressed as a third person. After the discussion of these two paradoxes the paper outlines an ethics of relationship. Only a well-defined idea and practice of “relation” can give the possibility to develop a non-paradoxical philosophy in the contemporary age.

Abstract
Only a well-defined idea and practice of “relation” can give the possibility to develop a non-paradoxical philosophy in the contemporary age.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
