Abstract
A strong evidence is now available about the role of inanimate environmental surfaces in the transmission of several important healthcare-associated pathogens which may originate in outbreaks or ongoing sporadic transmission of infection. A new approach, based on the fact that pathogens may persist in the health care environment for days or longer periods, is therefore needed in order to assess the efficacy of traditional and innovative decontamination methods and to aid professionals in defining procedures and policies for infection prevention strategies for health care environments.File in questo prodotto:
