This paper presents a measurement system for UHF-RFID tag detection employing leaky coaxial cable as distributed reader antenna. The proposed system is characterized through an experimental analysis in terms of S-parameters. Then the leaky feeder is employed in a measurement setup with commercial UHF-RFID reader. Measurement results show the leaky feeder capability to detect tags independently on its orientation.

Abstract
